Books in electronic formats are much easier to travel with, as thousands of pages and numerous books can be held on a single laptop hard drive, CD-ROM disk, Compact Flash drive, media
storage card or handheld PDA device. In fact, the average eBook reading device is itself capable of storing anywhere from eight to twenty full-length novels. The benefits extend to storage and
longevity concerns, as well. Avid readers will enjoy not having to continually add bookcases and bookshelves as their collection grows. And, there's never any fear of torn pages and broken
bindings!
Electronic books never sell out... the supply is unlimited. They never become out-of-print and no one has to wait for a library patron to return the book you're waiting to
read. There are never any unsold copies. Books that are published electronically can be sold 24 hours a day, seven days a week... there's no need to wait for the local bookstore to open or
for the online retailer to ship the print book you ordered.
Just think of it. This scenario will never happen to users of electronic books: Your flight is delayed. It is now 2:00 in the morning. You just finished the one
paperback novel you brought in your carry-on luggage. All the airport gift shops are now closed because it is the middle of the night. You spend the rest of your waiting time staring up at
the ceiling, counting the tiles. Two and a half hours later, your flight finally boards. You spend the three-hour flight reading the in-flight magazine -- front cover to back -- over and over
and over again.
There are, of course, advantages for writers and publishers also. Writers can write what they believe and what they're passionate about, instead of writing what a publisher thinks
will be popular and marketable to the masses.
By delivering books online, electronic publishers can avoid the environmental and economic costs associated with traditional distribution methods. There are fewer trucks on the road
releasing polluting emissions into the air, fewer toxic hazards associated with industrial ink and fewer trees cut down.
Because eBooks exist in digital format, the reader can easily adjust the size of the type to accommodate individual needs and preferences. For instance, contrary to popular belief,
reading a book in electronic format can actually be easier on the eyes than reading a print book because the user has complete control over the type size -- it can be made as large as needed.

Some e-book reading software, such as Microsoft Reader, allow the user to highlight
passages and add annotations and notes -- all without marking-up and ruining the book itself!
The question we are asked most frequently by authors is this: Why should I choose to have my book published by an electronic publisher instead of a print publisher? The
answers to this question are straightforward. First, we pay royalties that are more than three times the rate print publishers will offer. This, of course, means more money in our authors'
pockets. Second, we never move our e-books to "back list" status, nor do we allow them to "fall out of print." This means your e-book will be available for sale, twenty-four hours a day, seven
days a week, fifty-two weeks a year. Third, our e-book authors never have to worry that their books will be bumped off the shelves by bookstores after three months. There are no shelf-space
limitations with e-books! Finally, we now offer all our titles in paperback format... which means readers can purchase perfect bound paperback editions of your book if they so desire!!
