Although you can read all of our e-books on your computer with either your web browser or Adobe's Acrobat Reader software, the ideal way to read an e-book is with an e-book reading device. Let's face it -- it's not very convenient to use a laptop on a crowded subway train during rush hour commutes!

There are many e-book reading devices on the market now, with more models being released almost every month. They vary from dedicated devices such as the Rocket eBook (the original!) and RCA/Gemstar's REB 1100 to multi-use devices such as PDAs (Palm, Handspring, etc.) and the Franklin eBookMan. The type of device you decide to use for reading e-books will determine which e-book software you'll use (Microsoft LIT, Acrobat PDF, etc.) and which ArtemisPress e-book edition (format) you should select.

Below, we have provided a brief summary of currently available e-book hardware devices. The exciting thing about the e-book industry is that it continues to grow with each passing day. As a result, new companies are coming out with devices that break new technological ground -- bigger, clearer displays, for instance -- and the competition is (finally!) starting to drive down prices for consumers!

If you have been thinking about purchasing an e-book reading device, please take a moment to review the information that follows...visit the company websites for further information. That way, you'll have all the information you need to choose the one e-book reading device that best suits your personal needs! The average e-book reading device costs about the same as one year's worth of inkjet cartridges! And think of all the paper (and trees) you'll save by reading electronically!

Franklin eBookMan

There are three models off this multi-use device - two providing 8 MB of storage and the third providing 16 MB. Each model also features an expansion slot for memory upgrades. The EbookMan is more than an e-book reading device - you can also play MP3 music, play games, record and playback voice memos, and write notes in your own handwriting. Each model includes a built-in speaker, microphone and headphone jack.

DigitalWrite helps authors self-publish their short stories and poetry in e-book formats!

The romantic thriller you've been hearing so much about in which two girls in love attempt to foil the Mob. Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly star in what they self-describe as "film noir with the mixture of suspense and humor and the kind of sexiness and stylishness it allows for."
